HI, I'M KATJA
I am a half sicilian half german artist living in Germany.
Art is my personal island. Whenever I feel the need to nourish my soul I swim to this island to get new strength, inspiration and comfort.
In my beginnings I professionally studied ivory carving and woodcarving in my hometown Michelstadt, Germany. After this training I felt a deep longing for color and started to concentrate on acrylic and watercolour paintings. Until today these techniques can be found in most of my art works. Concerning the motifs, I am currently most devoted to portraits.
